RICHARD's Story
Life
From the Clan of Murdoch, 1970-1975, Hockey Team, Math Team, sometimes ISCF, Tennis Tournament player along the way. That's not much of a story, but it's all I've had up there for several years until today. Prior to high school I attended Brian Drive School and Muirhead Road. I used to be involved in the Red Cross club. I loved playing ball hockey every spare moment I had or softball (work-ups before school, at lunch time and during recesses) in the warmer seasons. I remember David Shuter used to call me the mini pocket rocket. I think I was pretty much a "goodie two shoes" but I did end up in the principal's office a few times along the way. Never did get the strap although it was threatened. Of course I remember where I was when Canada and Russia played that final game of the great hockey series in '72. I was in Robert Keeley's basement. I remember hanging out in somebody named Glen's basement when the Monkees were popular...Expand for more

Many years later I've lived in Toronto, Nova Scotia twice, Chicago and numerous places in the Bay of Quinte region for the last 27 years. Currently I'm settled in Brighton where I hope to stay for a long time.
I've been married twice and divorced twice. I have 3 great children all doing very well, all married. I have 4 grandchildren aged 1 through 5. I'm now in a long term relationship with a wonderful partner in love and life. Her name is Sandy.
I was a pastor for many years, Bible college teacher for a short time and then worked in many roles at Ste. Anne's Spa for 16 years until I retired almost 2 years ago. I'm really enjoying retirement in Brighton doing many things I wasn't able to do for years and picking up some new hobbies - hockey, tennis, badminton, boating, cycling, cooking, theatre (thank you Mrs. Biderman - I think that was my grade 9 theatre arts teacher).
