Richard's Story
Well here is recap of the years past. After finishing my senior year at Assumption Abbey Prep; I attended Assumption College for two years and then to NDSU. While at NDSU I met this Irish gal Shannon from Steele on a blind date and we were married a week after she completed her degree March of 1968.
Then I was already working for US Bank in Spring Valley, MN and during the next 35 years with the bank I transferred several times. From Spring Valley to Twin Cities in 1969 (our son Chris joined us that year), then to Jamestown for a year, then back to Twin Cities (our son Jason joined us) then to Babbitt, MN for three years, followed by Cloquet, MN for three yeas, then 1978 to Great Falls, MT for eight years, to Billings for two years and in 1988 back to Twin Cities. I retired from US Bank in 1999 when I hit 55.
After being retired for a couple years and finding out that I need sometime to fill the days I returned to banking and started to work for a community bank in small town (North Branch) just north of St Paul until December of 2008 when I retired for good.

arried and works for a waste management company. Jason married about five years ago to a lady who had young daughter. His wife is in the career military and a week after being married she went on a tour of duty in Iraq for 551 days. She completes her 20 years of duty next year and not sure if she sign up for more. I guess it depends on the job opportunities outside the military.
In 2002 we build a home on a lake in Lindstrom, MN, a small community 25 miles north of St. Paul. We really enjoy being on the lake; every morning after coffee I spend hour fishing from the dock and enjoying outdoors; in the evening doing the same thing, watching the sunsets. In April of 2008 we purchased a small home in Mesa in retirement development called Leisure World.
This year we will be spending around six months in AZ starting around the first of November. Shannon is not sure if she will like being gone for the holidays, but we thought we try this year to see if it is workable. We really enjoy escaping the Minnesota winter cold to a warm winter in Mesa. Leisure World has a lot of activities that keep both of us busy.
