Richard's Story
I pen this passage to say hello to any classmates that have honored me by visiting my profile.
I am still sailing; 43 years is certainly a long career, I have witnessed many different phenomenon in my challenged lifestyle, I have seen the world.
To wrap up this chapter of my life I am presently in Singapore commissioning two new 8th generation Drillships, one of which I sail back to the Gulf of Mexico. where she will drill for the most popular fluid known to man. Yes, I am one of those guys, I believe in fossil fuels, I am the Captain of the most technically advanced Drilling vessels in the world, I drive gas guzzling vehicles and own no stock in wind gene...Expand for more

I have been in Louisiana since we graduated, my beautiful wife, Belinda, of 33 years is from here, our children Mason 31, a Graduate of Husson University and the received his master’s from Rutgers is the director of a Crisis Response Center and Nicholas 24, is a student at Southeastern Louisiana
I do travel to Maine quite frequently as I try to give back when I can. I am an adjunct instructor that the Bucksport Campus of Maine Maritime Academy. I get to share my Merchant Mariner life with other mariners and young cadets.
