Richard's Story
Well... I don't remember anything from high school other than I hated it. I was pretty much a loner and a royal pain in the rear to my parents. I had no desire to go to college so I joined the service.
As soon as I graduated I left the state, worked the summer in Wisconsin and entered basic training in August 1983. I entered the Naval Nuclear Power program and completed my training in May 1985 in Ballston Spa, New York, where I remained on the staff as an instructor.
My service included the following tours of duty:
>1987 USS SHARK (SSN 591) in Groton, Connecticut, where I qualified Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS)
>1990 USS GEORGIA (SSBN 729) Blue crew in Bangor, Washington, where I was the Machinery Division Leading Chief Petty Officer
>1994 Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando, Florida where I was a Reactor Physics Instructor
>1997 USS BOSTON (SSN 703) in Groton, Connecticut as the Assistant Engineer
>1999 New construction crew of the USS VIRGINIA (SSN 774) in Groton, Connecticut, where I was hand selected by the Director, Naval Nuclear Propulsion for the Assistant Engineer

I have five manufacturing plants under my leadership.
I hold a Masters in Business from Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Columbia College, Columbia, Missouri.

Lastly, I got married in 1985 to a woman from Saratgo Springs, NY at the ripe old age of 20. I have two children - 24 and 17. My daughter is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and my son is a big time hockey player (goalie). I am still married and live in Grapevine, TX.
