Richard's Story
Life
After about eight years as a clergyman in Ohio I spent the rest of my working life as an elementary school teacher in public schools in Ohio, mostly in suburban Dayton. I never married nor had children.
I retired from teaching in 1987, but continued living in my home in Kettering, Ohio for several years. In 1999 my domestic partner had a great job opportunity in southeast Florida and we moved there. After the house in Ohio sold, we bought a home in Coral Springs, Florida and are still there. My hobby of genealogical research was put on hold for a while, but I got into it again in 2006 when my cousin asked for research on her husban...Expand for more
d's ancestry. My health at the age of 83 is less than good, but I am still up and about and able to drive. Diabetes Type 2 is the main culprit. We attend services and Bible Studies at two churches in Broward County. We also like to eat out often, going down to Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. While my domestic partner is at work I do the houshold stuff, like shopping, etc. I don't cook though!
