Richard's Story

I was raised at Fisk. My dad was Bill Walker, He had a garage across the street from Deno's Pool Hall till 1974. He also ran Professional Wrestling in and around the Fisk area. He also owned the Wold Champion Wrestling Bear (Ginger aka Sampson) Dad was a Pro. Wrestler sence before i was born. He wrestled in all the South Easteren States and was well known. I remember all the young people of my youth. The Phillip brothers, the Rice girls, Eddie Raymond, Ottis Hunter, and all those I ran with. In school I was a wimp. That all changed when I told dad I wont to become a Pro. Wrestler. Dad give two years of the toughest meanest training any one could go through. I remember HA!HA! after arould 7 or 8 months of training dad put me in a match at the Fisk arena. Some of those good ol boys that use to give me such a problem at school came to the matches that night.I guess they wont'ed to pick on me some more, I guess that training I went through changed their heart and mind. After my training we changed our wrestling names to RIP and RANDY TYLER and begin touring all over the states. ...Expand for more
We made it all the way to TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS in every wrestling organization we wrestled for. Dad has gone on to be with the Lord now. I miss him, but i know that one of these days we will be together for ever more in heaven with the Lord. He will allways be 10 foot tall to me. I enjoy getting letters and e-mails about him. Maybe you remember something or you have heard someone talk about him if so send it to me. PS: About the then picture of me in my profile. It was taken in 1975 just outside of Memphis, Tennessee when Dad and I was working the Tennessee-Grorgia NWA Professional Wrestling circuit. Thats me standing at the outside ring corner. Dad has Randy Savage down. You can't see him but Randy Savage's partner at the opposite corner of me was Jake Dalton. Dad and I where the NWA Tag Team Champions at that time, but this match wasn't for the Belts.I thougnt you might wont the story behind the picture. If you left click on the picture you will get a bigger view of it.
