Richard (Dicken)'s Story
Life
Born into Motorsports, I have worked in the industry for over 35 years now. Divorced, four daughters, new puppy, but miss the food in New England. Besides being a racer/test driver, I ride motorcycles, and target shoot hand guns. I hope to remarry one day, but you never know. I found in life that you can never have too many friends, or too many cars.
School
I attened Tiverton High School after a year at JF Wilbur School in Little Compton, and St. Dunstan's School in Providence, which I graduated from later. I attended RI School of Design, MIT, RI Trades Shops School, The University of Miami, and Bryant College. After moving to the Southwest I attended computer classes at the Scottsdale Comunity College, and Mindworks. I have a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, and would some day like to teach young motorheads. I always wondered what happened to the Graves Family of Tiverton (Cecilia, Myron, Juanita (I just found Myron & Juanita). And also what ever became of John Babbitt, Gary Sivia, Ricky Reese, Irving Orton, George Mello, a...Expand for more

Anybody know what happened to Mr Foster the Tiverton Auto Shop Teacher?
Workplace
After High School in Tiverton, I went to work at our families Auto Dealership in Providence (J.S.Inship) until we sold the dealership in 1977. At that time I took over the Motorsports (Racing) department of the business called Competition Engineering. I have been in charge of that division ever since. I drag raced from 1973 to 1983, when I quit Drag Racing to have more "On Track Time." We sold our drag race chassis component manufacturing building in 1983, and went back to where we started, which was Sports Car and GT Racing.
My company nows does contract R&D, designs, builds, and tests Hi-Performance, Hi-End Sedans. I still race for fun, and I am the PR & Media Director of the American Sports Racing Association, and Editor-in-Chief of, "The Motorsports Report". ASRA is the parent sanctioning body for both the Amatuer Karting Assn., and the German Touring Car American Race Series, (GTCARS). We have offices in, GA, FL, AZ, NV,& CA.
