Richard's Story
I drive around Chipman from time to time and try to remember all the things I think I should remember. A lot of water has gone under a lot of bridges since 1977. Mostly I remember the people and how great it was to grow up in the 70s. People are the most important part of a community so the fact those are my memories is a good thing.
Debra and I have been happily married since 1980. Almost 30 years of that has been as a long distance romance as my wanderlust took me around the world. Absence can make the heart grow fonder! We have three great kids who are all happy adults and a bunch of really interesting and fun grandkids. That means we have been successful in our lives.

while. Yes, I am still working. A bunch of really interesting people asked me to help develop a green energy project in meager creek BC awhile ago and how could a guy say no to that. Most people do not know that BC is littered with volcanos and we have the hottest one. Climate change is real and we are the cause and projects like this help in a small way. I also help out with a bunch of really smart younger people (almost everyone is younger than us in case you have not noticed) in a company called Remedy Energy Services where we focus on geothermal developments and energy storage in Canada and Latin America to help green the grid.
All for now, but if you see someone who looks like an older me buying gas at the Irving in Chipman, say hello, I just might recognize you and if I don't, please excuse it and say hello anyway as it has been too long.
