Richelle's Story

Hey Everyone that I have not seen in so long. The reason I joined up with Classmates is because I remember the best years of my life were spent in grade, jr., and High School. I moved away in my sophmore year and spent the last few years of H.S. in 3 different schools so needless to say...I met a whole lot of people that are now longtime friends. I went to Rancho Cotati for a few months and moved to Petaluma and tried to play catch up at San Antonio, (If you remember Mr. Hardcastle, English teacher at Altimira, he became the principle there many years later, I was long gone by then) and last but not least I attended San Marin when I moved to Novato. I also went to Indian Valley College as well. I loved living in Sonoma...it was my fav. and I still visit occasionally since I still have a brother and a nephew that live there. After I left home in Novato (not to confuse things) I moved back to Petaluma where I worked at Sola Optical as a supervisor until SOLA shut the doors and moved Petaluma's process to Mexico. I had worked there for 14 years, it was a huge adjustment ( to say the least) when I decided to go back to school and brush up on a few subjects...I went to Empire College in Santa Rosa and recieved a degree in computer support. I then went back again changing my direction and took Business Admin. but unfortunately was not able to finish because of a life altering accident that changed the corse of my life...I had a few months left to graduate and I was (as a passenger) hit by a double tanker gas truck and spent the next 4 1/2 months in the hospital and almost a year in a wheelchair before I could walk again. My road to recovery is a long ...Expand for more
one but each day I strive to recover my losses. On the upside I have someone very special in my life, his name is Ken and he means the world to me...the whole time I was in the hospital he never left my side... with the exception of going to work... even his lunch hour's were spent with me. We have two wonderful kids, one son (Randy, 28) who is married and has a family of his own now, two girls and a boy that live in Omaha, Nebraska, and one daughter (Rita, 25) that lives in Lakeport, CA. and has a family of her own as well, one girl (for now that is) and I love them with all my heart. Family is important to me and I am lucky to say that we are all as close as ever, in distance and spirit! My sister Rhonda lives here in Petaluma with her family and she gave me two adorable nieces that are all grown up now. My brother bounces around but always finds his way back to Sonoma and he has one son Ricky Jr. and two girls, Morgan and Jacqueline, all great looking kids...runs in the family!! My Mom lives in Petaluma and my Father lives in Novato...it's nice to have my family close to me. We love to travel as much as we can get away with...like who doesn't... and I love to shop! We like going to concerts, the beach, and out to dinner...all kinds of things...I would be here all night naming everything...best way to put it is "Life is too short to live the same day twice" so we like to try different things within reason that is! Thats all for now...most likely I will be updating, changing, and adding as time goes on. I hope to come into contact with all of my long lost friends, you know who you are, "So Give Me A Shout" I would love to hear from everyone!
