Rick's Story

Life I'm married (twice) the father of 6 children, ages 31yrs - 14yrs. I live in the Fairfield/Liberty Township area. Both my wife (Anne) and I are Managers at General Electric Aviation, in Evendale Ohio. I have been with GE 32 + years and currently work in the Product Delivery (Production Engine Assembly & Test) Division. After spending years traveling the world (100k + miles per yr.), I now enjoy traveling to and from my office, it sure beats those long lines and cancelled flights at the airports. I enjoy watching my children excel in school and athletics, and supporting them in life's challenges. Our oldest Daughter Jana 31 is a BGSU graduate, married/mother of 4 yr. son, 3 yr daughter, & Identical Twin Daughters who will be 1 yr. in May 2010. Katie 27 is married, & teaches Speech Pathology/Special Edu.at Hamilton City Schools. Twin sons Ritchie is Miami Unv. Grad. & is a Business Development Mgr. at BAE Systems. E Systems as a Welder. Son Nick 15 yrs. 10th at Moeller HS Aug. 2010, son Nate 14 yrs Freshman at Moeller HS Aug. 2010. Both are excellent students, and following in their older siblings footsteps by playing football, wrestling & rugby. Nick is playing in the Rugby Ohio High School State Championship at Crew Stadium, Columbus Saturday 6/5/10. This crew keeps Anne & I on the Hop, I guess it really does keep us young! College I finished my BA (Business Management/Finance) at Wilmington College in 1993. After HS graduation. I married Vicki Apro and we have 4 Children. After starting at General Electric in 1978 as a Supervisor, while completing my education. I once had plans of retiring early, but as most of us "Boomers" are dealing with the new reality I've made a few adjustments to that plan. With my GE stock falling from $60 to now ~$20 my new plan is to "Die in my Office"!! at 85 yrs. old! Four college eduations, two Daughters Wedding, I've already spent my fishing boat and lake home.
