Rick's Story
Life
After high school I went to M'side College for a year then transferred to Northern Iowa for my BA in Criminology. Moved back to SC in '92 and worked in a juvenile center for a couple months and then went to work for the state as a residential advisor in SC. Met my wife, Mary, in '95 and married in '98. Moved to Lincoln, Ne in Nov. '98 and became a correctional officer at the State Penn. Lost my dad to lung cancer in '00. We have 4 rugrats now: Josephine Sandra-6, Zoe McNeil-4, Moira Anne-2, and Owen Burdette-1. I'm now...Expand for more
a state parole officer. After about a 15-year layoff from playing baseball in high school, I started playing again in one of the local leagues here. It's been a blast but I certainly feel my age after the games. Other than working, baseball, changing diapers, cleaning up messes, filling sippy cups, paying bills and being broke, we lead a pretty boring life. I missed the 10-year reunion accept for the golf outing. I'm really looking forward to seeing my classmates in '07. I can't believe it's been 20 years since graduating!
