After school, I graduated from OU with a degree in Psychology. I moved to Los Angeles and worked there for about three years. In 1989, I left for Hong Kong for two years, working at Hong Kong Baptist University. After returning to the US, I lived in Tulsa for about a year, then moved to Vinita to work with the Craig County Health Department. There I met my wife, Sally. We were married in 1992.
In 1996, Sally and I felt called to foreign missions. We also had our first daughter, Audrey. In 1998, we left for Conakry, Guinea, West Africa. Life in Africa was very difficult. We lived in a city with hardly any public ser...Expand for more
vices; city water only 1 hour per day; electricity only 6 months of the year, then only 12-15 hours a day, dwindling down to 2-4 before finally being turned off all together. In 1999, we had our second daughter, Emily. She was born in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. We later transferred to Abidjan. While we were in the US in 2002, a civil war broke out there, and we were forced to find another place to serve. We lived for three years in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and a year in Hong Kong.
In March 2007, we returned to the US for furlough and sensed God's direction to remain in the US. I am currently the pastor of Immanuel So. Baptist Church in Wagoner, OK. immanuelsouthern(dot)com
