Rick's Story

I currently live in Kenova, West Virginia. Having taught school for thirty-four years including thirty-three years at Ceredo-Kenova Middle School, I am now a teacher and basketball coach in Ashland, Kentucky. I have coached several sports including high school basketball at Ceredo-Kenova...Expand for more
, Tolsia, and Huntington High schools. My hobbies include traveling, running, and attending sporting events. I also enjoy spending time in south Florida. I am a graduate of Marshall University where I received my B.A. in 1976 and my M.A. in 1982. I am a National Board Certified Teacher.

Ryan started cross country practice with his CKMS friends this morning at SVHS.
Might be nice to get a plaque like Coach Ward's for Coach Craycraft as well. Coach Ward's plaque is now hanging in the gym. I think it would be fitting to have Coach Craycraft's plaque hanging along beside his coaching part
Ryan is getting ready to run at the Cabell Midland Cross Country Meet. Good luck, Ryan!!!
Ryan ran at Cabell Midland last night. He is getting a feel of what it’s like to be a runner!
Ryan got up early and ran the Good Samaritan 5K Race in Ceredo-Kenova. Good job Ryan and his C-K Middle School team mates! What a great cause and thank you to Tom Knopp and all of the volunteers who made the event possible!
Progress is being made today at the C-K Athletic fields as the old baseball building is coming down.
Saturday morning and Ryan is not sleeping in!!! He is running a 5K in Catlettsburg at 9:00 am.
Ryan won his age group today at the 5K race in Catlettsburg!!! Good job, Ryan!!!
Who’s at the Ashland Tomcats vs Ironton Tigers football game?!!! Ryan!!! 7-7 at the half.
Ryan and his C-K Cross Country team ran well enough for a second place finish today in the Sherman CC Meet. Congrats guys!!!
