Rick's Story

After graduation I enlisted in the Navy and did 6 long years. Upon discharge I gained employment with various defense contractors in the Tidewater Virginia area doing electronics. After the '92 elections, that sector suffered a devastating blow with base closures and cutbacks in defense spending. So... I did alot of soul searching and decided to enter culinary school. Members Beach Club in Sarasota, FL on Lido Key. I have been with Leah Savastano since '85, we married '92 and we have 2 beautiful children (I know everyone says their kids are beautiful, but ours really are!), Olivia age 5 and Christian age 4. I never wanted to be a father, but now that is all I want to do. I realize that most people our age have kids in college or beyond, but we have that long road ahead of us! That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
