Rick's Story
Life
Lived in Dowagiac, Michigan until 1967 when our family moved to Petoskey where I graduated from HS in 1969. I graduated from Michigan State with a teaching degree. I've lived in Northern California since 1977. In 2003 I sold a plastics business I'd started from scratch which allowed me to retire. I then worked part time at Bogle Winery tasting room for sixteen years and am now fully retired.
I like wine, good food, MSU basketball and football, Also big SF 49ers and SF Giants fan and go to many games. Divorced in 2007 and remarried in 2010. No kids.
In 2013 moved from Sacramento to a small town an hour away called Grass Valley which is an old town founded during the Gold Rush. Reminds me a bit of Petoskey which I still revisit nearly every summer. Gra...Expand for more
ss Valley has a thriving music and arts scene with a lot of live music to choose from nearly every night.
We do a lot of world traveling and Thailand is the hands down favorite after mulitple visits. Love Maui too. Even during COVID we went to Maui two times. A lot of hoops to jump through to get there but worth it. Back to Iceland in 2022. Also Thailand for a month in November 2022. In 2023 visited friends in Queensland, Australia and then hopped up the Pacific to New Caledonia, Fiji, and Samoa.
Have done several Rick Steves tours over the years and as he says, "Keep On Traveling"
