Rick's Story
I got married to a good Christian Lady 32 years ago. We are still very much in Love with one another. We had a Son who passed away this last April 30 while on active duty in the Air Force. He was a good husband and proud Daddy of 7. Our Daughter is now 25 and She is a great RN. She is engaged to a Captain in the Army.
I got clean and sober in April of 1992 and became a Born again Christian. Having had a spiritual awakening, I went back to college and received my degree in Chemical Dependency Counseling. I have touched the souls of well over a thoused Veterans, and civilian lives, and continue to do one on one today.
Over the years I have been a member of; The Vietnam Veterans of America, Post Commander of American Legion Post, 14 years with the American Legion Honor Guard, a few years with the Southwest Washington Veterans Honor Guard, I was a volunteer of the first 3 Stand Downs for homeless Vet's in Portland, and now I am a member of the Veterans of Foreign War...Expand for more
s, Disabled American Veterans, and a Life member of the 25th Infantry Division Association.
In 2002 I joined the "Run For The Wall" organization (rftw.org). In 2003 the Veterans Administration found me 100% disabled as a result of my part in the War. 2005 I joined the "Patriot Guard Riders" (Patriot guard.org)of the state of Arizona and the state of Nevada. This year I joined the Oath Keepers (oathkeepers.org) the National "Tea Party", and "We the People" Org's.
Some in D.C. have called me a Traitor, a Nazi and a Low level Terrorist. Some of equal Importance have thanked me for my on going Patriotism, and continued service to our country.
The one man who influenced me the most in my life, once said,
