Rick's Story
Life
I can never be more thankful for the friends I've made along the way. I'm grateful for sites like this, Facebook, MySpace, Hi5, and Flickr, for through them I've been able to get back in touch with countless numbers of those friends I've made during my travels, which at last count consisted of moving about 35 times among 4 continents over the last 45 years.
Family
In brief, my amazing family surrounds me with four grandkids, four "not-so-young" youngin's, and my wifey. Since living Hephzibah, I went to three OTHER high schools including Mannheim American High School, Escambia (FL) High School, and Tate HS where I finally got my PHD..public high-school diploma. After a year at Pensacola (FL) Jr. College, I went on a 28-year run of hopping around the globe via my careers ala military and law enforcement.
Work
I'm a recruiter for the largest financial corporation on the planet. It's nice to work for #1! T...Expand for more
he support I get from this team is amazing. For my daytime job, I've been selected to be the next Deputy Chief of Police at a department near Augusta, GA. There are some amazing challenges ahead, and I can't wait to take 'em 'head on'!
All this, after completing a 20-year career in the Army, a career very tough for me to leave were it not for reassurance from my Troops that I needn't worry about abandoning them..."we've got your number and email address, Sarge. You aren't leaving us behind!"
School
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in 96 from the Alaska campus of Wayland Baptist University. I have a considerable amount of Master's level work through the University of Oklahoma's Osan, Korea campus.
Coming up...I'm looking forward to obtaining my securities license before the end of summer, and returning to the police academy this winter to both brush up on my "po-leese" skills and get my instructor certification.
