Rilla's Story
Still living in San Luis Obispo, California, after getting my BS & MS at Cal Poly. Got married and had two boys. Owned a local bakery for several years with my husband. Became a single parent and worked in school cafeterias for several years until getting a job with the city recreation department. Worked with children in before and after school programs as a Head Teacher/Director for over 10 years. er 12 years. Currently am semi-retired and do my Music & More piano entertainment programs for nursing care centers in area. Love it!! Also love seeing my kids and my two grandkids, all who currently live in San Luis Obispo area. I still love canning fruits & veggies, especially from my garden, and baking and cooking. Wrote and printed a family cookbook, wrote and published several poems in anthologies, still write short stories, though haven't had any published yet--currently working on that, and also on family genealogy stories.
