Rise's Story
Life
After working for the NYC Board of Education for many years, I retired from my full time position in July, 2004 and did part time work at my school until 2010.
The reunion of Mr. Wolff's JHS 189 music students, which I organized,
took place in April, 2006. Years later, Mr. Wolff still talked about the event and the great productive citizens his students have become. I became active in the Sisterhood at my synagogue and served as...Expand for more
president of the group for 2 years.
After the reunion I started playing my viola again and played with The New Westchester Symphony Orchestra up to 2020. What fun it was to play with a group and bring our music to patients at hospitals and senior residences around lower Westchester.
Mr. Wolff passed away in July 2022 but I remain in touch with his wife and daughters and try to see them when my husband and I can make the trip to Ca.
