Updated photo from September 2012 birthday. I am the one with the short hair. Much cooler over the summer! More to follow. Updated Summer 2010. I attached a current photo of me and Mara taken summer 2010, Mara is on the right. I spent most of my College Career in Boulder, CO and finally graduated from the UCHSC College of Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree. I started working at the Children's Hospital in 1979 and am still there to this day. After spending 14 wonderful years in the PICU, the stress of the critical care environment was impacting myself and my family. I changed over to the Radiology department, sedating patients for CT Scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine studies and Interventional Radiology procedures until 2002. At that time I took a position in Quality Improvement, preparing the outpatient nursing areas for accreditation. My attention to detail and my perfectionism made me an excellent choice for the job. I also supervise the ambulatory float nurses. I married a wonderful man from Nebraska, Dean, in 1985. June 1st, 2010 we will celebrate 25 years!!! We have 2 super boys: Karlis (almost 23 now) and Druvis (turned 21 last November) - now aren't those some Latvian boy's names?!?! Karlis was attending the College of Architecture at University of Nebraska in Lincoln, however is currently at the College of Architecture and Planning at CU in Boulder.
