Rita Benham:  

Life After high school I attended EMU and got an Associates degree. I worked for Standard Federal Bank for 18 years in various positions. I got married in 1987 and had my first daughter, Paula, in 1991. Maura was born in 1994. I left the bank after Paula was born and became a stay at home mom. I became very active in volunteer work at my church and my daughters' school. I got divorced in 2001 and returned to college. I attended Oakland University and received a bachelor's degree in Aug. of 2004 in General Studies with a minor in English. I returned to the workforce in Nov. 2004 for a firm in Southfield. I remarried in October 2005 and have relocated to Ann Arbor with my new husband. I worked for a mortgage and investment firm right across from U of M Stadium for a year and half. I worked in the Human Resources department at Saline Area Schools for about 9 months and worked for Ann Arbor Public Schools as a Teacher Clerk for two years. I worked for Edward Jones as the assistant for a financial advisor for six years and then we moved to Raymond James where I have been for an additional 4 years.
