Rita's Story
Rita is from Uvalde, Texas. She is married. Her schools include Uvalde High School.
I graduated from Sul Ross State with a batchelor's degree and from Cameron University (Oklahoma) with a master's degree in English. I have taught high school English and Spanish in many places, currently in Port Lavaca, Texas. My first husband, James Crow died and I met Hal three years after after I had moved back to Texas to be closer to my aging parents. I have one daughter, the pride of my life, four grand children, and three great grandchildren. They are all the joy in my life.
Made contact a few years ago with one of my college roommates, Ruby, and have greatly enjoyed the reconnection. Would like to hear from old friends long separated just to know how you are.
One of Rita's favorite quotes is:"No man is an island, entire of itself; every man...Expand for more
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friends or of thine own were; any man's death diminished me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee" (John Donne)..
More about Rita:"Me Mom & Dad--Mom died November 9, 2008. Miss her terribly. Dad succumbed on August 7,2015. He is resting now.
I love my family deeply and totally. I try very hard to accept people as they are. I would like people to return the favor--don't expect it. I'm energetic most of the time and keep busy doing something. I love my little home and the beautiful things Hal has done to make it better. My favorite time of the day is when I come home to Hal after a day of work.
