Rob's Story
Life
I am living in Waikiki enjoying the beaches of Oahu. I am currently working as the Director of Web Innovation for Aston Hotels and Resorts.
Military
Staff Sergeant Robert D. Bertholf is an Information Management Journeyman assigned to the 52d Fighter Wing Command Section as Workgroup Manager, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. Born in Fortuna, California on 19 July 1979, Rob attended Fortuna Union High School graduating in with Honors in Computer Science in 1998. He entered the delayed enlistment program for the Air Force in September 1997 and joined the active duty force after arriving at Lackland AFB, Texas, in October 1998 for basic training. Following graduation in November, he was sent to Keesler AFB, Mississippi, for technical training in his current career field. Rob was Captain of the Flag Security/Drill Team, as well as asked to teach the newly introduced section on web design to fellow students. Upon graduation, he was assigned to Spangdahlem AB, Germany. Arriving in March 1999, he spent two years with the 606th Air Control Squadron before being selected to work at Wing Command. Rob is a dedicated Instructor for Wing Software Training, teaching several monthly Web and Graphic Design courses to Team Eifel.
