Rob's Story
Life
Earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue in 1997.
Earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Tech in 2003.
Got married on June 15, 2002.
Had a son on July 3, 2004.
Had another son on September, 5, 2007.
I am currently living in the Dallas, TX area. I work for Microtune as a test engineer.
School
I had a lot of fun on the swim team, mostly goofing off with Grant Miller and Adam Parks instead of swimming. I picked up the bad habit of smoking cigars from Tom Tripp. I drank way to much beer senior year and ended up with the nickname "Booze", which is still in use by a few people. I still remember the time we got a caravan of people and vehicles together and went out to TP dozens of houses in one night.
College
In between parties, I did occasionally show up for class. I remember going to a lot of lame fraternity parties that featured bad cover bands with Josh Cantwell Freshman yea...Expand for more

Senior Year was a blast living with Rob Sell and playing Beiruit at the Kappa Psi house with Rob Sell and Rob Gagen. There were so many times when we woke up the next morning and couldn't remember how we got home. And let's not forget the rest of the crew: Carrie, Jill, Holly O., Holly W., Wendy, Adria, Brian Miller, and Yoda.
Workplace
I started working on Wi-Fi chips for Harris Semiconductor in Palm Bay, FL after graduating college. Harris Semiconductor was spun off from Harris Corporation and became Intersil Corporation. Our product line in wireless LAN was sold to GlobespanVirata and shortly afterward GlobespanVirata was acquired by Conexant Systems. Basically I had the same job and same office for 8 years for 4 different companies.
In 2005 I moved to Ocala to work for Intellon Corporation on HomePlug powerline networking chips.
In 2006 I moved to Dallas, TX to get back into RF test engineering at TriQuint Semiconductor.
