Rob's Story

Life I graduated from West Point in 1973. Spent most of my LT years in the 82nd Airborne Div. jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. Met my beautiful wife of 35 years in Korea. As a CPT, I commanded a Battery at Ft. Lewis (outside of Tacoma,Wa.) and then spent three years back at West Point on the Commandant's staff. We were sent off to Germany where I was promoted to Major. After five years in the Pentagon, I was promoted to LTC and sent back to Germany to command a Battalion. In '95, I was selected to attend the National Defense University in D.C. where I was promoted to COL and received a Masters Degree in National Security Resoures. After a three year tour in Korea as the CINC'S Advisor ...Expand for more
on Missile Defense, I returned to Space & Missile Defense Command, and retired in Virginia about a year later. After working a National Security contract at the Dept. of Energy for the last three years, I bought a house and am now starting up a new company with some old associates. Moved 20 times since leaving Columbus in '69, but looks like I've finally grown some roots in Northern Va. Seems odd to be in one place longer than 3 years. Flash News-- Opportunity opened and I am now back in the Government. Joined the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)as the Chief of the Military Operations Concepts Division. Five years in the private sector was a great experience, but I'm now back in DOD.
