Rob's Story
After graduation, I moved to Minneapolis where I attended the Brown Instutute of Broadcasting on beautiful Lake Street in South Minneapolis. I interned at the #1 music station 99.5 WLOL, and upon graduation, went to work at a craphole called KRIT in Clarion, Iowa. Deciding I wanted to be closer to the Lakes Area, I reluctantly took a job at KILR in Estherville for 1.5 years, then off to KICD in Spencer for 11 (actually fun) years. During this time, I also part-timed at KJJO in Minneapolis, and fondly recall getting my glasses broken when I got kicked in the face at Lallapalooza 92. Big change happened in 1998 as I moved ...Expand for more
to Atlantic, Iowa to become Cass County's Management / E911 Coordinator. I left this position at the end of 2006 after getting fed up with the ridiculous mandates from the Department of Homeland Security and the Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division. I currently work as a 911 dispatcher (and I love it) in Cass County, Iowa.
I play Everquest and World of Warcraft a lot, and I also play A LOT of poker online, at casinos, and in private games. Someday, I hope you'll see me at the WSOP main event. Speaking of which, if you'd care to loan me $10,000 for the entry fee, I'll split any winnings I get with you.
