Rob's Story
Life
I doubt anybody's going to read this, but I thought I'd post my bio, so I can check back once in awhile to remember where I've been and where I'm going...
I graduated from Downsview SS in 1981, went to York University, then Guelph. Graduated with a B.Sc. in Marine Biology.
Worked for a few years doing field surveys on fish, seals, whales and such in Ontario, Quebec and the Arctic. Also did some habitat improvement work on the Black Creek in the early 90s.
Worked for 4 years at Environment Canada, managing a community funding program now called EcoAction. Lost my job when the big service cuts came down in 1995.
"Refurbished" my career at Ryerson to become a professional fundraiser and have been working in this field since 1997. Managed a few large campaigns in different cities throughout Ontario, then decided to start my own company a few years ago.
Now retraining to become a biology teacher. Will receive my B.Ed. at the end of this year.
I live in Peterborough -- married to Wanda Knul, whom I met at Guelph. We have 2 girls, now 11 and 8.

Military
Spent some of the best (and worst) years of my life here...
Always enjoyed the west coast -- thought of moving there years ago, but stayed in Ontario for family reasons. I love to travel there still, but that doesn't happen often enough...
Gumpta training was hell, but I made some great friends and really grew as an individual and a sailor -- too bad they cancelled it!
The east coast was good, with a lot of culture, music and bars. Too bad many of the regulars there (locals and permashads) are unwelcoming.
I still keep in touch with a few of the old gang, but don't see them often enough!
