Robbin's Story

Life My life......I have been married 26 years since October. We have three beautiful children, Reagan 23, Justin is 22, and Charles is 18. I have a 2 year old grandson and a granddaughter due in October. My youngest just graduated from Air Force boot camp! We have lived in Kansas City, Mo for nine years. I work for an ENT office and my husband owns a semi and is contracted with a local company. School I will never forget my life long Best friend Mylinda Kay Lounsberry McCullough. She passed away April 20th, 2005. There are so many things I remember about high school I wouldn't even know where to begin! I can honestly say I have no regrets. I wish I'd been a little less quiet, and kept in better touch with friends after graduation. I suppose I do have a couple thing that still does bother me; my senior picture was not in the year book (my best friend who didn't grad, hers is!). Another would be that before I left for the Army, I didn't find a certain person to say goodbye to. The last would be to those that I somehow or in someway have hurt, or think that I have forgotten about them. I feel that after all these years I have really grown and changed since graduating high school. That if there are classmates out there that never really got to know me! I love to email and chit-chat, feel free! I like to hear what my fellow classmates have accomplished in their lives! Always, Robbin Workplace I have had some great jobs, and some not as exciting! I have always enjoyed working at all my previous jobs. I believe where I am now is the best one yet! I enjoy the work. I have put the most time in the Army, and I did truly enjoy my job, other than the "soldier" aspect of it! I knew while in the Army I wanted to work in the medical field. Military The U.S. Army! a point in my life that this looked really promising for me. I do have to thank two people the most. First, to C.B. if it weren't for you I'd never have joined, and second, to my husband Eric for sticking beside me on all the choices I have made reguarding the military. I made it to E-4 (Specialist), as a Dental specialist (for those of you who aren't fimilar with military jobs, I was trained in just about all areas of a dental facility). I spent Basic training in Ft. Leonardwood MO, during the summer. I was completely miserable, too darn hot and humid for someone whose never been that far east! My dental spec. training was at Ft. Sam Houston San Antonio Texas, which I absolutely loved! Then I was sent to Camp Zama Japan! Completely terrified! Zama is about 25 miles SW of Tokyo. Best way to describe Japan is to take the whole Population of the US and put it in California, then add the same amount of cars!! It was about a 4 to 5 hour drive to Tokyo! So if you ever complained about traffic, you haven't seen anything till it takes you 30 minutes to drive to drive 3 miles! Needless to say, I really loved Japan! I met my husband there and were married there! Met a bunch of great friends!! And miss real great food!! And Last there is Ft. Benning Georgia! YUCK!!! Too hot, too humid, too many bugs. And there is no lick of "Southern Hospitality" in sight! Actually I have met some really great people there, but they are a rare breed! I find that people are quite rude in the South. I was happy when we left the south. Other than that I have enjoyed my six years in the Army, and I would tell anyone, that if they wanted to join, I'd say "go for it! What have you got to lose?" See the world! I have, I even had my honeymoon in Hawaii!!! Now I have been a dependent! Now our next adventure will be taking us to Germany for three years!
