Robert (Bob)'s Story
After working for Oxford paper Co for a year, I left Mexico in late 67 when the US Army grabbed me. I enjoyed a magical mystery tour of Viet Nam until 69. When I returned to the states, I married the former Brenda (Bren) Ames of Mexico. We started our family and I stayed in the military until my birthday 1971. I lived across the river in Rumford until the last of our three children left the nest in 92. We bought a home in Mexico and been here sense. I have enjoyed my years here in Mexico. I retired 2007 as an electronic tech. All our children live in NC along with our 9 grandkids. I guess my roots run deep here in Maine, I love the four seasons. eally enjoyed seeing fellow classmates. Bren graduated in 68 from Lawrence HS, Lawrence, Ma. She taught computer science for the local adult Ed and also taught computer keyboarding at the Rumford St A school 1st thru 8th grade. Her 20th reunion was a lot of fun, I am ready to go again <S> Where have the years gone? I published a book on May 2nd of 2010 "Welcome to Mexico the Other Mexico" avail from Lulu.com, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble and iTunes.com. I retired in 2007 and we are enjoying our grand kids and as many trips to North Carolina as we can make. We moved to North Carolina in September of 2013 to be closer to the kids and they don't have as much cold and snow. We will always call the State of Maine home...
