Robert's Story
High School:
Took all the science classes I could,
and didn't do any sports.
I was in the first "computer class" at WRHS.
It was an independent study, using a
TRS-80 from Radio Shack (it has 64Mb of memory,
no hard drive, and we had to save our programs
on cassette tapes).
College:
Got a BS in computer Science at NC State University.
Got invited back to do a Master's degree (on a
research assistanceship).
After I finished that, I worked at Shell Oil's
research center (Houston Texas) for a while.
Then got invited b...Expand for more

So, these days I can tell you ...
"Don't worry -- I'm a doctor!" ;-)
Workplace:
Did an internship at Bell Northern Research (Nortel's
research branch).
Did Unix support at Shell Oil's research center (Houston) back in the early days of Unix.
Been working at SAS Institute for 10+ years (did a few years in unix support, a few years in testing, and the the rest of my years working on fancy business graphics and mapping software). Here's what I do:
