Robert's Story

I'm currently living in Bedford, Ohio, with my wife, Lisa. I'm working in Mgmt. at Canterbury Golf Club, in Shaker Heights and my wife is working for a non-profit on the west side of Cleveland. Non profit...it seems to be the story of much of my life. If I had it to do over, it would be to actually have applied myself in school. It would be nice to think that if I had worked harder at sports that it would have made a big difference, but I was'nt that great an athlete to begin with. Suuposedly there is a link between good athletes and being pigeon toed. I think my feet always pointed out. To be truly happy, I would be in the Caribbean, sailing, with my friends and playing golf when ashore. I always wanted to be a comedian when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a hilarious idea. As it turns out, they were right. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel extensively and add on a outhouse. My dream home would be Fallingwater...with an outhouse. If I won $100 million, I'd give $25,000,000 of it to family and charities, then spend some of the rest on A Tartan 4400 Sailboat, or a Northwind 43, a 1959 Chris Craft Barrelback, a few cars and new golf clubs, along with lessons. I also would buy a home in German Village in Columbus, or a home in Rush Creek Village in Worthington. After that, a home on a lake somewhere. Adirondack style, with and old '49 Willys. That would be a nice touch. Don't forget that all the toys and things you want to buy you'll want to share. They're just an excuse to get your friends and family together around you. Its' also the best reason. My current age is 58. When I was 1...Expand for more
2, I thought that people my age now would have alsheimers. I was so right. CRS is another ailment that afflicts the long living. Myself included. My best friend would tell you I'm a dumbass, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as a dumbass. The wierdest job I ever had was as a bear baiter in Montana. I share my home with my mother-in-law, which I find ridiculous and depressing. Not to mention my wife and 3 dogs. I can't even tell you...My cat, Andy is the love of my life, though. He's old, so I try to enjoy him as much as I can. We're in a race to see who goes first. I bet him 12 cans of tuna, but unfortunately, he can't match the bet with something worthwhile for me. Maybe I should have bought him better toys as he grew up. Unbeknownst to most of you, I actually won a state championship on GW's 1970 bowling team. We won it at Ren-Dor Lanes in Parkersburg. Does anyone know Gary Miyakawa? Dave Alley? In 10 years, I hope to be deceased. I'm going to get there by killing myself. If that does'nt work...Well, anyway, there are lots of ways to be dead. Losing your sense of humor is one of the quickest. My first job was at Tag Galyean Chevrolet, where I got paid crap to listen to the shop manager Rex Reed talk about being a ratchet-jaw. What I remember most about it is how I wanted to get away. Getting up to go to the bathroom and turning right instead of left and putting out the gas wall heater when I was one yr old, on Lovell Drive in Chas. Just how many instances from before your 1st birthday can you remember? I remember about 5 or 6. As you can see, I went through the story wizard.
