Life
Life is good..
My Kids: I have two great boys. The youngest is my car nut. He has his own company that is a supplier to the entertainment industry. The oldest is an ex-fireman and now a business systems management.
My Jobs: I have been on the OEM Corporate side of the auto industry (BMW, NISSAN, GM and ISUZU). I've expanded my motorsports involvement as a co-host of Speed Scene Live TV, staff announcer at Irwindale drag strip and for the NHRA . I was part of the Motorsports Marketing department of AAA and underwriting departments until 2018. My focus now has been as a featured writer for a leading automotive publication and motor sports announcing.
I have worked in the motorsports industry for over 40 years (now I feel old) as an announ...Expand for more
cer at NHRA, USAC, VRA/Goodguys and other auto racing events. This has included TV, radio and some video voice over work.
Motorsports is also my hobby. I have built show and race wining cars from sports cars to hotrods and drag racers. My youngest son raced an Alcohol fueled Jr. dragster. I currently have a '48 Plymouth hotrod, '03 Corvette, '56 Chevy, 1929 Ford Woodie and a 1955 Camper trailer. My wife's cars (before we married) were a 1964 Ford Falcon Convertible, 1931 Ford tudor and a 1946 Ford fordor. She still has her '46 Ford.
I have had over 100 cars since high school and as many as 10 at one time. Parking can be a challenge. My insurance agent sends me a thank you card each year. This year I think I paid for his house remodel....LOL
