Robert's Story
After getting out of High school, I went directly into the Marine Corps, where I worked on the Radar system of the F/A-18. I spent five years in the Corps (Japan twice) and got out.
I then entered Polk Community College to go to the Police Academy. I got my AS and AA degree there along with my police standards.
I then moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida. At the same time I was hired at the Alachua County Sheriff's Office as a part-time Deputy assigned at the Court House. Where I eventually met my wife (2002), Kaley, who was also a Deputy.
Once I graduated from U of F, I became a full time Deputy Sheriff in the Patrol Division. I have been in that position s...Expand for more

In 2005 I was promoted to Sergeant and have transistion to an Adminstrative position for now. Kaley was also promoted to Sergeant in 2008 and she is still on Patrol.
Don't think the Admin job is easy, I supervise several differnt areas and of course I have to find time to complete my work...
In 2003 I designed and built our house and we got our "son" Duke von Behl (German Rottweiler). He goes everywhere with us, especially the boat.
So life is good (if the country wasn't turning into a socialist nation) and I'm doing better than I would have ever dreamed.
