Time Began one day for me in Seattle Wa. In 1956. I lived at the Lime Kiln Light house on San Juan Island for my first 5 years then to Port Townsend for a couple of years, Then to Sumner for a year and off to Tokeland Washington. I went to school in a 2 class room school house with K-3 in one room and 4-6 in another, 13 kids in the whole school. It was closed one year because there were only 9 of us left. We then were bused up to Westport, I went to Ocosta for 6th and 7th Grades, then to Anacortes Middle school and then Anacortes High school. I was to graduate with the class of 75 but had enough credits to graduate in November of 74 so I did. (I have many regrets about that) I joined the Coast Guard in 74 and was overseas during my class graduation. After basic training I was assigned to the Ice Breaker Burton Island for 2 years.
