Robert's Story

A life long horticulturist, I began in landscaping at Farmingdale (SUNY '60). Then, having worked in industrial landscaping, decided I needed more education. So where better than the University of Georgia. Hey Yuall, it was the best educational opportunity ever.-1966 -1973.They provided me with a PHd in Plant Pathology as I completed my dissertation on The Bollrot of Cotton. My then wife Mary gifted us with 2 Children, Andrew and Margaret Elizabeth. I always remind them of their Southern Heritage. ld Research Specialist with Thompson-Hayward Chemical Corp. in Kansas City. Over the years, i have sprayed just about any pesticide you could imagine. On change of venue in 1988, I moved to Los Angeles where I dropped the sprayer and returned to Horticulture becoming the Grounds Superintendent for Hollywood Park Thoroughbred Racing--- Gp Baby Go!!! Well, that's me. Now I'm 70 and have been blessed with 6 children, a lovely wife Trudi ( I thought so much of marriage that I did it twice. I am now the head gardenier at our residence in Temple City, California.
