Robert's Story
Life
I married my high school sweetheart , Lynette Wallace , after graduation and had 4 kids together but regretfully it didn't work out. Married again 10 years later - another bust - another wonderful child (21 y.o. now )
I marries my third wife and spent 17 years with her - 90% of it fantastic but also divorced. I got the idea that maybe I might be hard to live with. They were all wonderful ladies and together they gave me 5 fantastic kids - 4 boys and one girl. I now have about 13 grandkids (I've lost count) and 4 great grandkids.
I've had some high highs and some very low lows but have tried to keep it all going down the middle. I miss my X's for the good they brought into my life and also miss some of my special friends that have come and gone through my life for the same reason.
I guess you could say I've come to the conclusion that you pass through someones life only temporarily, in my case at least, to bring them something they were missing and then you move on. I remember the special peo...Expand for more
ple in my life for which I am extremly grateful. They brought wonderful times for me as we passed each other only to move on to something/someone else.
I now have someone in my life that accepts me for who I am and for my inabilities and does anything and everything she can to make me happy. She is a wonderful person that I am sure will see me through to the end.
In a sense, I am jealous of those of you who have stayed the course and lived with and loved the same person through out your lives. I had hoped to love but one person my whole life but god - and my own stupidity - saw it differently. I have no regrets, really, as I've found that the world is full of beautiful and wonderful people and I was fortunate to have found some. I feel I am a very lucky man. Life didn't turn out as I had hoped but it didn't turn out badly either. I look forward to the years I have left and plan to spend as much time as I can with my family. God bless those whose family love them and stick by them. I know mine has.
