Robert's Story
Life
I moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in July 1982 and continue to call it home. My daughter, Christine Elizabeth, was born on September 23, 1989. In high school, she participated in volleyball, journalism and photography. She graduated in May, '07 and attends college at Texas State in San Marcos. Our trip to Australia and New Zealand to celebrate her high school graduation will unfortunately occur during the WHS 25 year reunion and I will be unable to see my classmates at that time.
I currently live on Lake Ray Hubbard just 20 minutes east of Dallas. I'm in the process of clearing land and will hopefully start building a new house this year (2007). Freeway expansion (President George Bush Turnpike) will be built where I currently reside. I received my Executive MBA in May 2003 from the University of Texas at Dallas. After UTD, I considered getting a law degree from SMU but postponed it until Christi graduated in 2007. For now, I've decided to forego the law degree. My computer forensics work has really grown considerably and I enjoy it. Who knows, I may change my mind again later.
My grandma, born in October 1899, lived with my parents in Bay City, TX during her later years until her passing in 2004 at age 105. She was a strong woman and an inspiration to me and I really miss her.
I started an IT consulting firm in 2002 and enjoy the flexibility of owning my own business. The forensics work is growing very fast and is challenging. Check us out online at AllStarsTS.com. I sold my interest in a political consulting company in 2006 and co-founded a Wind Orchestra that same year. This was a huge undertaking and we have been extremely successful. Check us out online at LoneStarWindOrchestra.com. The orchestra will celebrate being one year old in April 2007. Bot...Expand for more
h consume much of my time, but I manage to balance and enjoy my personal life and my career.
I was fortunate to travel to Botswana for a safari and South Africa to experience Victoria Falls in Zambia for my 40th birthday in 2004. ÂVIC FALLS: There are few appropriate superlatives that have not already been applied to this magnificent natural wonder of the world; in many ways it defies description." Â Brett Pretorius
I completely agree!
I spent two weeks in Europe in June of 2005 and gained a new appreciation for Venice. The city has improved dramatically in ten years time. I visited Croatia for the first time and highly recommend this relatively unknown jewel - Dubrovnik is beautiful and the people are very friendly - try their locally grown white wine and enjoy! Mikonos and Santorini continue to be favorites - it's hard not to have a great time on a Greek island.
Work is demanding, so my social life takes the biggest hit but I love the lake and spending time with friends when I can.
I have a vegetable garden too. ThereÂs nothing like a fresh, home-grown tomato. I guess itÂs trueÂ
.you can take the boy out of the country, but you canÂt take the country out of the boy.
My father was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2006 and it spread to his liver. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and we are thankful for each day we have with him. I was able to take my parents to Wyoming and Montana to tour Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone in June '07. We had a wonderful time and it was nice to see them enjoy the scenery and cool mountain air.
My sister, Connie graduated from WHS in 1978 (lives in Plano, TX)
My oldest brother, Phillip graduated from WHS in 1980 (lives in Columbus, TX)
My other brother, David graduated from WHS in 1981 (lives in Bay City, TX)
