Robert's Story
After getting a bachelors degree in poly sci from Northeastern, where I co-oped as a legislative aide, I escaped to graduate schools in Canada for an MA in poly sci and an MA in public administration. While in graduate school I was an exchange student in Hungary twice and worked in the Canadian Parliament as an aide to a Minister. I then joined the Canadian Public Service where for 26 years I worked as a policy analyst, program manager, and program evaluator in several departments and, for five of those years, I was a national health care, social welfare and tertiary education funding policy analyst/adviser for Cabinet's Social Policy Committee.

worked three years as an inward investment officer at the Canadian High Commission. Later I did the same job for two years at the Canadian Embassy in Paris.
Eventually, I returned to Canada as a director of audit in the Office of the Auditor General of Canada. My wife took early retirement from the British National Health Service and relocated to Canada.
In 2005, I retired from the Public Service of Canada and spend my time enjoying foreign travel and participating in historical military reenactments, conducting genealogical research, reading, gardening, bicycling, dancing (Regency and Ballroom), and socializing with friends.
I hold citizenship in four countries and have taken credit courses in eight universities in four countries.
