Robert's Story
While still in High School, I enlisted in US Navy then later into the US Marine Corps, and back to US Navy. I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman, found out I liked it, and got out in 1979, and went to school to be an RN.,(Diploma Nurse). Attended St Thomas Hospital School of Nursing, and Akron University. Later I attended LPN School at the Portage Lakes Vocational School, with my sister, Linda Shull, class of 1974 (Coventry HS). Went back in to USN while drilling as a Navy Reservist in Akron,OH and ended up retiring with 22.5 Yr...Expand for more
s Active Duty plus reserve time. I started my studying in Nursing starting in Fall of1968, at Northwest HS in Canal Fulton,OH, due to a death in the family for one year and back to Coventry HS when I graduated in June 1972. Blew my back in ER lifting a patient that was too heavy, overseas, and that ended my Nursing career. Work full time at Akron Summit County Public Library as a Security Officer, as of this writing, Jan. 2015. I retired from Active Duty and came home for good in May,1997. I currently live in Uniontown,OH.
