Robert's Story
Started work with computers Sept. 7 1065 for RCA Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Mfg. Plant. Nov 1971 transferred to overseas field service and went to Sigon and Okinawa. After that I worked for various other computer companies until March 1985, at which itme I started working at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) as a computer programmer/technician. Divorced in 1985 and raised my Daughter. Retired as a computer programmer/technician in june 2006. Hikiing the Applachain Trail (A.T.). 2007 hiked 856 miles befrore becoming depressed hiking alone and went home. 2008 two weeks before I was due to go back on the trail I had a heart attack with 5 stints. 2009 Went back to the A.I. where Ileft off in 2007 at Jarman Gap, Va. and hiked 423 mile to Delaware Water Gap Pa. nitis in my right foot. 2010 went back to Delaware Water Gap and hiked 528 miles to the top of Mt. Layfette in the White Mountains of Nh. Just got tired of walking and went home. This June 2011 I will go back to Mt. Layfette and hopefully finish the A.T. at Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Me. (366 miles). Hope to see everyone at the 50 year reunion in Daytona Beach, Fl.
