Robert's Story
After McKinley I was in 4 different High Schools.
Anaheim , Pasadena , Manual Arts and finally graduated from Belmont.
Joined Navy in 1959.... Made 2 Western Pacific cruises on the USS Hornet ( now a museum ) , Made 1 cruise on the USS Essex to Europe .. was there when the Queen of England reviewed the 20TH anniversary of NATO. was on the USS Essex for the recovery of Apollo 7 have a personally signed photo of Col Cunningham that I took and sent him for signing which he graciously did and returned to me.. also made a cruise to the Med on the USS W...Expand for more
asp. married in 1968 ... discharged in 1969 divorced in 1972..Worked as a Draftsman than to Supervisor of Drafting and Document Control...
Several other endeavors after 1987..
Remarried in 1999 and retired more or less actually assisting wife at the swap meet every saturday.. its hard on an old man doing really hard manual labor .. LOL .. currently live in Lakewood, Ca.
I spend all the time I can working on my family research.. it gives me great pleasure tracking down all the dead ones and locating lots of unknown family members..
