Robert's Story
Jan 5, 2021
At the end of this I mention people I'm looking for. Maybe you're one of them. San Jose people see final paragraph.
Ok, then, Life:
Contrary to rumor (I heard I was dead), I am alive and well in Southern California since 1978. Married since 1975 to Cassie (Catherine) Houston of Fairmount (Hallahan '71). We have five kids... well, they're not "kids" anymore, and 8 1/2 grandkids. I'm a self employed CPA and a writer/composer (unpublished, unkown, but so what). I picked up a Fender Strat in 2005 and for a while I played in a band playing those "classic rock" songs we used to trip on back then plus newer stuff. Well, it's been ten years now (2021) since the band broke up so maybe it's no longer relevant. Anyway, back in the day, I was known as "Del", Bob, Bob Del, Diego, and for a while after an incident at Tacony Park "The Mad Bomber" but I swear it was hardly a "bomb" and it was all Kenny Rich's idea anyway, may he rest in peace. Back then, I was skinny and had a lot of hair. If you were a girl and cute, wore wrap around skirts, blouses with Peter Pan collars and penny loafers, I probably wanted you really bad, but was afraid to ask you out. But, enough about me, what about you? I welcome contacts so, come on, break out of your complacent (no longer getting to be, you're there) late midlife stupor and write to me. Frankford Ave Gino's characters and groupies are especially sought.

year. (I found Sue!)
If you're visiting from St. Hubert's, I'm looking for Cathy Meyers and Sue Stevenson, class of 68 give or take. (Found Cathy and Sue!)
If your a Judge alumnus, John ('63, I think) and George ('65) Rhem were my next door neighbors and childhood best friends. If you know where they are, I'd like to know too. (George found me! John RIP 2020)
Olney people, I'm looking for Lee Buchshell (spelling?) class of '66 I think. (Found Lee)
Northeast alumni, I'm thinking Lonnie Weisman, Mark Chanin, Larry and Bonnie Sperling, probably 66 to 68. (Have contact to Lonnie through Paul Feldman.) (Mark passed away)
George Washington folks, how about Paul Feldman, '66 or '67. (I Found Paul!)
Well then, looks like I've found everyone I was looking for. Of course, I've thought of others in the meantime, so the search never ends. Until it does.
If you're visiting from Abraham Lincoln High in San Jose, you don't know me. I graduated Abraham Lincoln High in Philadelphia 1966, but curious about parallel universes I bought a 1966 year book for your school when it popped up on ebay. You guys look just like the people we in Philly used to see on Lloyd Thaxton. No offense, but you guys danced really weird. Anyway, we all looked pretty much alike regardless of which coast we were on, that is to say clean cut, innocent and hopeful in that final year before the tidal wave of the sixties revolution washed over us and the freak out began for real. So, to you survivors, hello from across the years and miles.
