Robert's Story
After NRHS I went to Colgate for three years and then spent my senior year on exchange to Vassar. At Vassar I lived in Cushing House-incredibly diverse and generally liberal-one of the best years of my life. After some time in the Army reserve, I attended Columbia University Law School, graduating in February of 1974. My first job was in the Washington, DC office of a New York law firm-Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Kampelman. In December of 1975 I moved to a small law firm in Alexandria, Virginia-I was the 7th lawyer. lly based in Pittsburgh. I am still there, practicing real estate law, specifically the law of developing and operating condominium and homeowners associations.
In my personal life, I met my wife, Amy Pullman, at my fifteenth Vassar reunion. We married in 1987 and have three children-Michael-21 and at Dartmouth, Philip-18 and at Skidmore, and Julia-16 and a junior at The Potomac School in McLean, Virginia. Amy is a pediatrician in private practice in Washington, DC.
For fun I enjoy swimming, Scuba diving, attending the theater and watching old movies. My taste in music is rock and roll and classical.
Fortunately, I also enjoy my work!
