Robert's Story
Life
As of April 1, 2008 I'm retired from the Great State of California and will be just hanging out. Marian and I travel as much as we can and have our volunteer stuff to keep us busy. Three sons, two grandsons, three granddaughters (we can't be that old). Cheers to all.
School
I was at San Juan High for 3 years and made lots of great friends. In the summer of '65 my family moved to Southern California and I had to say goodby. I spent my Senior year at Magnolia High and it was the best high school year of my life (isn't everyone's Senior year the best)? I met my first "true love"
and developed friendships that remain to this day. The school plays were a highlight of my high school da...Expand for more
ys as were the speech contests (I think I became ill before the first one). The 40th reunion was great...but where did all those elderly people come from <lol>. Attend the 50 year reunions at both of my high schools...those old people were there again. Reconnected with folks from San Juan High that I now see monthly.
College
I started college late, I think I was 27. Majored in Speech Pathology and Audiology...BA (1980) from California State University Sacramento and MA (1983) from University of the Pacific.
Workplace
I was with the CA Department of Public Health managing big public health grants...but now have that unbeatable state retirement to get me by (love those government benefits).
