Robert's Story

Life attended South Ga college, bailed when the new Dean was in fact a baptist preacher who promptly proclaimed that "the parties were over." I bailed to the University of Ga. then to Armstrong Atlantic University. As a graduating senior, I was made "an offer that I could not refuse" from the International Longshoremen's Association. At that time you had to be family to join and my grandfather "the Duke" as he was called, walked me right in. 40 odd years later here I am! I am retiring July 1, 2007. As a former President and Business Mgr. of the union, I will continue to help in a consulting capacity. My private consulting business is growing rapidly and I sit on corporate and non-profit boards...Expand for more
including the State of Israel's Bond Fund. I also created a mutual fund partnering with Mass Financial Services in Boston. I am the Executive Director of the board. I also own a limousine company in Washington, DC and New York. My wife of 25 years is an award winning designer and we enjoy traveling together. My son Emmett is a rising sophomore at Georgia Southern University. He is my best buddy. We hunt and fish together. Our home is on the intra coastal waterway in Savannah. We have a ranch house in Wyoming. Please come visit! We think that old friendships and links to the past are extremely important. We have all learned that life is too short so get in touch--I would love to reconnect.
