Favorite teachers: Miss Lennon-Jr High, Latin & Ancient History; Miss Garland-10th grade Plane Geometry; Mr. Kelly-10th grade English (he instilled a love for literature and buying books in used book stores in downtown Providence). fter school and during summers in the Chemistry Dept. of Anaconda Wire&Cable. I transferred to Moses Brown at end of 11th grade. But I'll always feel a part of Class of 45!
College
After receiving a BS in Physics, I joined Penn State's Applied Research Laboratory as a full-time faculty member. As an employee I was able to receive an MS (1955) and a PhD (1960), both in Physics.
