Robert's Story
Life
After graduation I joined the US Navy to become a tranlator. I went to the Defense Language Institue in Monterey, Ca after boot camp to learn French, Intel School in Tx, Aircrew School in Fl, SEAR School in Me and then in November of 1988, I left the States for Rota, Spain, my first assignment. While living there I traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Caribean and the South Atlantic. e years, where I recruited and finished my Bachelor's degree at Daniel Webster COllege in Nashua in 2000. I then moved back to Toulon, France for two more years. In 2002 I moved to Augusta, Ga where I may retire from the Navy in 2007. I am currently working on my Master's degree and I should be done by the time I retire from the Navy. I have a home in Dunbarton, NH and another in Edgefield, SC. If I can, I will make it to the 20th, as I was out of the country for the first two. It will be nice to see everyone after such a long time!
