My family owned Franklin's Market on Olive Street, near Spoede. By the way my rirth name is James Robert Kelley, but went to Spoede Elemantary 1945 or 46, when it was a one room school house. Then they built a new building. It seems that the school is still growing. At Spoede I was known as Robert Franklin.
After that the 7th grade were all transferred in 1952-53 and 53-54 8th grade then I went to Mercy high until I went to visit my father out of state.. My name then was and is James Robert Kelley.

, While I was at Pattonville, I met Betty Lynch, Frank Kern, and Larry Wright in Study Hall or Senior Art class. Before the year was over I quit. . After giving up on graduating I went to work.
IN 1959 I got married, my son was born Feb 1960 By then I was a qualified window trimmer. I left St. Louis late in 1960 and came west to Hollywood. 1961 the bottom fell out of the window trimming industry, so I became an office clerk. and worked for many places over the years.
Currently, I writing a family history book, this is why I joined Classmates.
