Robert's Story
After Thompson I enrolled in UMass but quit after half a semester because I wanted to pursue other things. I lived right next door to Mattie's Tavern for a while with Win Dow and Gerry Casey. We had our great marijuana adventure at about this time. I hitch-hiked across Canada and the US (a few times-once with Franco O'Hare, the other with Hoona Hadley), attended Woodstock and other festivals, and hung on "the bench". Later on I went to California and attended UC Santa Barbara, where I got a BA in geology. Then, I headed to Mem...Expand for more
orial University of Newfoundland for a PhD. Worked 15 years for the Geological Survey of Canada, based in Ottawa, but working in the NWT near Great Bear Lake.
In 1995 I moved to Salt Lake City and started a landscape photography business. In 2007, moved to Tucson. I continue to do both geology and photography. My approach is, as always, a bit different.
