Robert's Story
Life
Rob Hill majored in Motion Picture and Television Production at The University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo. Rob works with some of the most advanced technologies in Digital Video. He has brought his technical experience to the Independent Film community of Wilmington, North Carolina as the Technical Director for the Cucalorus Film Festival. As well as writing, producing, directing and editing award winning independent films Rob has also worked in the Television Industry as a Commercial Director/Producer for Wilmington's ABC affiliate WWAY News Channel 3. Currently, Rob is a partner in DH Media Group, which develops and produces commercials, documentaries and television projects.

n 2004 Rob wrote, directed and edited the feature documentary "The Fort Fisher Hermit; The Life & Death of Robert E. Harrill". The film won Best Feature Documentary at the Hollywood Digital Film Festival and premiered on PBS in the spring of 2007. Currently the feature documentary is nationaly distributed through American Public Television and was nominated for an Emmy in 2007-08. Rob also received an Emmy nomination for the Rising Star Award.
Rob is married to Sheila Watkins Hill from Atlanta, GA. In 1999 they had a beautiful daughter Sydney Madison Hill. Sydney has followed in her father's footsteps producing, directing and editing an award winning short student film at the age of seven.
